Strategy
meets story
meets system.
I'm Nick Erickson — a revenue operations leader and sales practitioner who came up through rhetoric and writing before spending a decade learning and building the structures and habits that make growth repeatable instead of incidental. I work in a space where sales, marketing, and operations stop being separate departments and start compounding.

Manifesto
“Revenue growth accelerates when sales, marketing, and operations work together to reinforce their service level to the customer. Most organizations treat these as separate departments, I build the connective technology between them.”
My college background in rhetoric and writing might seem like a detour, but in reality, it was the foundation. Every sales system I've built, every CRM migration I've led, every coaching conversation I've had has benefited from knowing how to make something complex land clearly with the right person, at the right time.
In total, I've generated over $50M in pipeline and closed $8M+ in revenue. I've managed reps, SDRs, and cross-functional teams. I've delivered quarterly board KPI reporting and designed the underlying data infrastructure that made those reports accurate. I've done these things in manufacturing, SaaS, consulting, and e-commerce, meaning I understand that the playbook changes, but the principles don't.
The Work
Three Disciplines. One Through-Line.
Most candidates specialize, but I've spent over a decade building genuine fluency across sales, marketing, and operations, not because I couldn't pick a lane, but because the compounding advantage happens when someone can balance all three at once.
Revenue Operations & CRM
Full HubSpot and Salesforce migrations. Pipeline governance. Quoting applications. Board-level reporting. Tech stacks built for the people who use them, not just the executives who read the dashboards.
Sales Leadership & Coaching
Full-cycle enterprise selling, rep development, quota & territory design, and messaging. My sales and teaching background help me create a culture of winning, learning, and fun in a sales team.
Marketing Strategy & Demand Gen
Brand positioning, multi-channel content campaigns, event strategy, and SEO. My rhetoric background serves me well, finding the synthesis between what you say and the right people to address.
Core Values
Ashe.
Intention into action.
Ashe: a term in Yoruba tradition, is often understood as the life force or energy that allows things to happen. It's used as an affirmation that what is spoken carries weight, and intention turns into action. The connection here is, admittedly, coincidental. But it tracks as a simple way to remember my values and what I expect from the teams I build.
Authenticity
The same person at work and everywhere else.
Service
Lead with generosity, leave things better.
Honesty
The kind that counts, even when it costs.
Empathy
See the human first, in the best and worst of times.
About Me
A fuller picture.
I co-host a philosophy podcast with curious friends, brew wine with my wife, read speculative fiction, and shoot photography when light and patience align. I hold onto a Swedish word — Lycklig — which translates simultaneously to happiness, luck, and success (I believe that's the right order).
The North Star Podcast
About philosophy, religion, and meaning with curious friends asking better questions than we have answers to.
Speculative Fiction
Lifelong reader. Stories that challenge imagination and explore what it means to be human in strange circumstances.
Homebrewing
Brewing wine with my wife — an ongoing experiment in patience, chemistry, and waiting for something to become what it's supposed to be.
Photography
Landscapes, quiet moments, light doing interesting things. Shooting teaches you to notice what's already there.
Partner in Crime
My wife Amanda Wang-Erickson runs AWE Designs — branding, illustration & art. Together, we partner on marketing programs that combine strategy, systems, and storytelling — I build the engine, she brings the brand to life. If you’re looking for both the infrastructure to grow and the creative to stand out, we occasionally take on projects together.
Getting Connected
What Happens After You Reach Out
01
You'll hear from me directly — not an assistant — Every message gets a personal reply from me.
02
If it makes sense, we'll find 30 minutes — A short call — no pitch deck, no formalities. Just a conversation.
03
We go from there with full information — A clear "not the right fit right now" is a better outcome than ambiguity for either of us.
If You're Building Something Worth Leading — Let's Talk.
I'm looking for a Director-level role in Revenue Operations, Sales, or a hybrid GTM position where strategy and execution share the same job description. Minneapolis or remote. I'm also open to fractional roles using my MarketingOS and RevOS programs.
